On the 12 September 2016, MIGS participated in a meeting of the House Committee on Human Rights and on Equal Opportunities. The meeting took place following the decision of three NGOs, including the MIGS, not to renew their membership of the Multi-disciplinary Coordinating Group to Prevent and Combat Trafficking in Human Beings. At the meeting MPs were updated on the implementation of relevant legislation on trafficking in human beings, and the functioning of the Multi-disciplinary Coordinating Group. A second follow-up meeting will take place in October.
